We’re incredibly proud to recognise Kellie as our Employee of the Month for April 👏
Kellie brings a wealth of experience across NDIS, OOHC, and case management, and it shows in the way she connects with young people with empathy, patience, and genuine intent.
What really stood out this month is Kellie’s ability to meet young people where they are. Whether that’s supporting them through complex behaviours or building trust in creative ways — she goes above and beyond to create meaningful, lasting connections.
Here’s a little more about Kellie 👇
🎮 Favourite activity with clients
Playing Fortnite — Kellie actually learned the game to better connect with young people, creating a powerful and relatable way to build rapport and trust.
🎯 A goal she’s passionate about
Supporting young people to build consistent routines — including sleep, healthy habits and long-term goal setting, while helping redirect behaviours in a positive and sustainable way.
🧘♀️ How she unwinds after a shift
Gaming or watching a series, in a calm, clean space with candles burning — a well-earned reset.
📺 Currently binge-watching
Married At First Sight (when she can catch it!)
🍝 Perfect meal
Coming home to her partner’s slow-cooked spaghetti bolognese, with homemade garlic bread and a glass of Shiraz — simple, comforting, and well deserved.
💬 Advice for aspiring support workers
“Be present and available to young people — don’t office dwell. Be patient and calm, don’t force results. Consistency will achieve outcomes. Always follow up after an incident to listen, learn and better support them next time.”
Kellie’s approach is a powerful reminder that consistency, compassion and connection are at the heart of great support work.
Thank you, Kellie, for the incredible impact you’re making — this recognition is so well deserved 🙌
